VIOLET MARIE

T-04-SH6-LAV - (24"-MRe-5"-Sev) - Seedling x WARRIOR VICTORIOUS - It is no secret to those who know me that flowers in the violet, lavender, and purple hues of color have long been favorites of mine. My venture in daylilies began when I was in the sixth grade and my grandmother gave me two daylily plants. This cultivar is named for my grandmother, Violet Marie Hooper. Fittingly, the flower is a lovely blend of violet and lavender. VIOLET MARIE has petals with a lovely style of ruffling having loops and undulation in the ruffling as contrasted to the more pleated type of ruffling. The deeper violet petals give way to the blue-lavender watermarks that yield into the chartreuse to green throats. Petals and sepals have a white/cream edging on them. Fertile both ways.
